FRANKIE MAGAZINE ISSUE #129 COVER
Frankie Magazine commissioned me to create the cover for their bumper Christmas summer issue where I created a digital collage featuring motifs, shapes and elements taken from my originally hand stitched, beaded and sequinned artworks.

Pushing the expectations of the medium of textiles into the digital realm allows for me to able to expand my work across digital platforms whilst still retaining the tactility of textiles, and for me as a graphic designer it was a full circle moment from having worked as a designer across magazines to now have my artwork on the cover!

COOPERS 'FOREVER ORIGINAL' BILLBOARDS

I was commissioned to create four original designs to be implemented across billboards as part of Coopers new campaign 'Forever Original'. These artworks spanned across billboards in Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane and was featured across advertisements on TV, cinema and socials - thus each of these designs needed to be able to be used in different orientations and at different scales.

In an unexpected connection between traditional techniques and digital design, I created four new designs using imagery from my original artworks that could be implemented on an increased scale but still retain the impact of the tactility of the original.

MAGGIE BEER'S BIG MISSION ARTWORK

Final artwork digitised and implemented for one of the advertisements

Final artwork: Paint, thread, cotton & beads on cotton
ABC commissioned me to create a bespoke artwork for a new TV series with Australian food icon Maggie Beer called Maggie’s Big Mission. The artwork is to be used as the background key art across the marketing and promotional material for the show in a variety of different specs and orientations.
The Brief: Create an artwork using fruits, vegetables, herbs and other food-related items in a design that can allow for a variety of different applications, sizes and orientations across print, TV and social media. The artwork is to be bright and colourful with lots of dimension and texture. Initially designing the elements digitally, I then painted the fabric before hand stitching and beading. The original artwork is then digitised and made into a repeat print that can be implemented across all media for the show. Watch the making-of video below!

BARNARDOS FEARLESSLY OPTIMISTIC ART AUCTION

Original artwork donation for an art auction to raise money for the Australian charity Barnardos. My original artwork was also used across the show's promotional and advertising collateral.

Artwork artists statement:
For centuries looking up to the stars has been used as a method to predict, navigate, understand and explain the past, future and forces of nature across many different cultures. The parallel similarities of a shared curiosity and appreciation of the stars serves as a reminder of the interconnectedness between people that transcends cultural boundaries and fosters a sense of unity - a common thread connecting us all.

Ask anyone to draw a star and they will draw it differently. When Barnardos approached me to take part in a charity auction, I was inspired to collaborate with some of the children that Barnardos support.

To me, the theme Fearlessly Optimistic is to have strength, resilience and positivity whilst still being true to yourself. Stars are often depicted in my work and I am drawn to them due to their universal connection and representation of life, strength and hope.

Each child was asked to draw me a star and the stars came back in all shapes and sizes, they could be round or pointy, filled with patterns or even dotted with finger tips - each one as unique as the stars in the sky itself, and each one of us below them.

To further spread the word on being fearlessly optimistic I have made a limited edition run of the Star Spectra sweatshirt featuring the artwork made for Barnardos.

Custom artwork for this years festival of the theme Wild Imagination involved taking a concept from brief to finished artwork and then digitised to be used across all of the festival marketing and media collateral.
Inspired by the scope, universal magnitude and possibilities that the theme evokes, my design portrays different shapes inspired by natural elements referencing the natural world and land we are on, and our place in the universe.
The artwork is hand stitched and beaded on cotton and will be exhibited throughout the Byron Writers Festival in Byron Bay.

COMMISSIONED ARTWORK
I was commissioned by a previous client who wanted a third artwork to complete the ones she had previously purchased from me at an art show where I was exhibiting.
After some drawings inspired by the movement created by listening and responding to music, a final design and colour palette was agreed upon before commencing the artwork. Titled 'Light On' this artwork is approx 25 x 25cm and completely hand stitched on cotton.

WEDDING SNEAKER COMMISSION
I was commissioned by a bride-to-be wanting a one of a kind pair of sneakers to wear on her big day. Two sample swatches were made (below) with slight differences in materials and colour palette before choosing the more pastel pinks threads, beads and sequins that were hand stitched onto Converse sneakers.
