Inspired by patchwork where traditionally smaller pieces of fabric are sewn together to connect as a whole, Piece to Piece consists of colliding intersecting shapes that represents a personal connection of history, home, and memory. In this union of unexpected materials, tradition, expectations and the notion of what is conventional is questioned as it shifts in perspective. 
 
Featuring dried paint skins from my studio with appliquéd velvet, spandex and mixed cottons with hand embroidered threads, beads and sequins on cotton.
